New class for Wed 29th and Sat 2nd

Yeh!!!! It's the first day of the school holidays. Love school holidays. No lunches to make, no uniforms to iron and best of all, I get to stay up super late and sleep in most mornings. I'm in heaven.

Anyway, I best introduce you to the next class using the beautiful Love Letter Designer Papers.

You can not see in any of the photographs but most of these cards have a lovely golden glow on them which has been created using the new champagne mist ink. I'm just not that a good a photographer so did not even try to capture it for you. We will be using distress inks in a few different ways to create a vintage feel about the cards, that I hope you will find interesting.

This one uses maghony distress ink and the new stamp from Contempo Christmas embossed in gold.

And this card combines some flowers created on the Big Shot and a beautiful Vintage Brad. I have already used so many of these brads - just love them!

This card really shines when you see it in person and uses another of the vintage brads. Dasher is really getting a workout around here.

Dates: Wed 29th Oct at 10am and Sat 2nd Oct at 10.30am
Cost: $25
Please email me if you would like to attend so I can prepare a kit for you.

And please don't forget to check out the fundraiser I am organising on the 23rd for the Cancer Council. You can read more about it by clicking on the Special Event Button at the top of the posts.
We would love to see you there.

Thinking Pink

Things have been pretty quiet here lately on my blog, but its been entirely the opposite on my desk.
So I have heaps of samples to share with you in the coming weeks. I thought I would start with a few pink cards. The card above is super simple using the new Artistic Etchings stamp set and Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder. I love, love, love the new satin ribbons.

This was the card everyone made at my recent catalogue launch. Simple, but effective, with such a detailed stamped image. It uses the new dusty pink blushingbride cardstock.

And with just a few small changes a more detailed version of the card above. The background is stamped with the new Bella Toile stamp.

New Catalogue Launch

I have just had a fabulous weekend playing with all my new toys and managed to make tons of new card samples for my new catalogue launches on Wednesday 15th and Saturday 18th.
I have prepared some simple projects for everyone to make, including a faux pressed metal card and a felt flower that you can use as you choose, on either a card, bag, shoes, hair clip, scrapbook page etc etc. I am also hoping to prepare another simple card tonight so you won't get to look at that till the day. Surprises are always nice!
The cost for the day is $15 and includes a beautiful new catalogue, a gift voucher for use on the day, all make and takes, morning tea and a morning chatting with the most lovely ladies you could ever meet. I would love you to come, and get your hands on this beautiful book - you won't be disappointed.
Please email me to reserve your spot so I can prepare enough kits for everyone on the day.

4 You

I have to admit I am just loving using this new embossing folder - vintage wallpaper. It's a great pattern that can be used in oh so many applications. Trust me you are going to get sick of seeing it!
I have also used a new flower punch and some cool papers.
Doesn't the 4 you from the Tiny Tags set fit perfectly on the build a brads!! I was a little excited by
this find (LOL).
This was a card we made at my recent team get together for Stampin Up demonstrators. If you are interested in joining us please email me for some more information. This month is a perfect time to join. Not only do you get the fantastic starter kit, which is slightly cheaper than last catalogue, but you also get bonus In colour inkpads, markers and cardstock.

Samples from last weeks class

Lovely as a Tree has always been a favourite stamp set of mine. I continually pull it out year after year and still marvel at how wonderfully it stamps. This time I used white ink on kraft and teamed it with some navy cardstock.
I love how this beautiful new bauble from Contempo Christmas. To get this sprakly effect I first stamped in silver ink, then quickly shook some heat and stick powder on the stamp. Then I heated the powder till it just melted, then quickly shook on some dazzling diamonds and finished with a quick blast of heat. The effect is truly worth the effort.

This card has more of a vintage feel, and is so simple and quick to make. The hardest part would be putting the thread in the button! Spot the vintage newspaper - thats new designer paper now available. Love it!

I have just spent quite some time rearranging my supplies into their new colour families, so am excited to start on some new creations using my new catalogue as a fantastic starting point for inspiration.

Introducing Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder

I looooove this embossing folder. In fact its had a huge workout around here already. I love the fact that it gives a quick card lots of interesting detail. The stamps pretty cute too - its from the new Contempo Christmas set.
These new products are available in the brand new catalogue. If you would like a copy why not attend my launch on the 18th of September or email me and I can post you a copy for $15 (includes postage). If you can not wait till then you can whizz over to the Stampin' Up! website and take a peek!
