Card organiser class - March 4th @ 10am

I thought for the next weeks class we might do something a little different and make this organiser. Its the perfect size to store your handmade cards, or could even be used to store photos, receipts etc, etc. Firstly I must say that the pattern for this box did come from an American SU demo unto which I have added my own style of decoration.
In this class while assembling the box we will also cover the use of heat and stick powder and faux stitching, and include such details as dry embossing, use of the beautiful syled silver hodgepodge, crop a dile and scallop edge punch. We will be using the 'Scribble This 'stamp set. The class cost is $20 and includes all materials. If lavendar is not your colour you also have the choice of pretty in pink or bashful blue, just let me know your choice when booking. Would love to see you all here for another fun filled day.

This pic shows the dividers inside the box.
Thanks for looking.

Only 1 week left!

This card is made using the 'botanical blooms' stamp set available free during February with every $100 purchase. I stamped the flowers and leaves on watercolour paper using black Staz On then watercoloured them with my markers and an aqua pen. The background leaves were stamped in lovely lilac on the matching cardstock. I finished it off with a bit of taffeta ribbon, a flower from the pretties kit, a pretty in pink button, some glitter, linen thread and some paper from the spring fling pack.

Classes Wed Feb 18th 10am and Sat 21st 10.30am

In the classes this week, we will be using the stamp sets from the bush fire appeal. The first card will involve some heat embossing and use of the paper crimper as well as using the 'priceless' and 'baroque motif 'stamp sets.

This photo better shows the color of the card, the above shows the embossing. It such a miserable day today it was hard to get a good photo!

The second card is one we did at our last training day. Its a simple pop up card that incorporates the chalkboard technique and uses 'Live Your Dream' and 'Baroque Motif' stamp sets.

This is the card when its flat so it fits easily into a standard size envelope.

And last but not least, a card using more embossing, both heat and dry and a simple button detail.
If you would like to attend either of the classes on Wednesday or Saturday please email me to reserve your spot. Class cost is $20 and includes all materials. I will also give any class attendees $5 off any one of the selected bushfire stamp sets (you can see the list on a previous post) if ordered on the day. This won't affect the amount donated by Stampin Up, will just make the stamp sets more affordable for you as my way of helping the appeal. And yes you still get the 15% off the stamp sets as well and sale a bration benfits still apply.
Would love to see you all at the classes.
Thanks for stopping by.

A ginger blossom card

This is a really simple card I made using Ginger Blossom designer papers (from the mini), a sale a bration stamp set, some glitter and pearls, - oh and a piece of cameo coral cardstock.

The detail on the congratulations panel was done using the tab punch.

Fun with felt flowers

I've have really been enjoying using the new felt flowers available from the summer mini. They add a great tactile quality to any card (or scrapbook page) and come in a plain silver tin that will be terrific to decorate. But best of all so quick and easy to use.

I have been desperately trying to step out of my comfort zone with colours recently, and I have really surprised myself, to find I now love colours I have never previously looked at.

This card uses
pumkin pie, basic grey and whisper white cardstock
Purely pommegranite ribbon
Sanded and yummy (SAB) stamp sets
Felt fusion flower and gemstone brad

This card uses
pumkin pie, rose red, basic grey, going grey, and whisper white cardstock
Grey taffeta ribbon
Polka dot and yummy (SAB) stamp sets
Felt fusion flower and gemstone brad

This card uses
garden green (my first time use with this colour), river rock and whisper white cardstock
Old olive wide grosgrain ribbon
Floral and yummy (SAB) stamp sets
Felt fusion flower and gemstone brad
Thanks for coming by.

A brown valentine

Many of you have asked me to put this on the blog, so finally here it is. It uses sale-a-bration stamp sets and one of my favourites 'Baroque Motifs' on chocolate chip, close to cocoa and whisper white cardstock. And yes, two of the flowers were hand cut, the other uses the 5 petal flower punch.

Daniels birthday card

This is a birthday card I made for my cousin Daniel. He's in his late 20's.
I used the 'Starstruck' stamp set for this card. It's a very cute little set of stamps on page 65 of the catalogue. Have you even noticed them there? I bought this set quite a while ago, but have forgotten all about them.
I simply stamped the images on real red (he's favourite colour) and taken with teal and punched them out with circle and star punches and adhered them on sahara sand and black cardstock. Added the name with beads and a few brads and gemstones and that was it. I hope he likes it.
Thanks for looking.

Flower card making class - Saturday 7th Feb at 10.30am

This class is all about creating your own flowers with punches. For those of you that know me, you know I LOVE punches, and have quite a collection. But I'm always looking for ways to get more from them - to create different looks from them, so I get more value for my buck. In this class I hope to share a few ideas so you too can get more use from your punches. We'll make three cards and a twisty treat holder. We'll also use a few products from the Secret Garden Simply Scrappin Kit. (I loveeee this kit!) This class is suitable for beginners and should not take as long as some of those we have done this year. If you would like to attend please email me to reserve your spot. Class cost is $20 and includes all materials and tools - no need to bring a thing.

I look forward to seeing you. Thanks for looking.
